The Stockade Association

Commemoration Weekend

Thanks to everyone who took part in our neighborhood festivities commemorating the 335th anniversary of the Schenectady Massacre with a luminary display and festive Tavern Night at the Stockade Inn. It was a tremendous success!

Join us in commemorating the 335th anniversary of the Schenectady Massacre on Feb. 8th with a luminary display culminating in a festive Tavern Night at the Stockade Inn. The Stockade was home to many pubs and saloons in its early years; travel back to the ambiance of early taverns at this Stockade Association event.

Free admission; cash bar (nonalcoholic drinks will be provided to members); please bring a potluck dish to share. Musicians, stories, period attire and neighbors all are welcome!

The Stockade Association will provide luminaries for those interested in lighting our streets in commemoration of the massacre (or you may provide your own). To request luminaries please email membership@historicstockade.org by February 7th and be sure to include your name and address for delivery. Luminaries should be placed around 5:15 p.m. on February 8 and then join us at 6 p.m. at the Stockade Inn!
