Stockade Walkabout & StreetFest 2024

This fall house tour in Schenectady’s Historic Stockade provides a unique chance to step inside some of the unique homes in New York State’s first historic district. New This Year and FREE! Church St. will be transformed by our StreetFest, with classic cars, artisans selling their creative wares, antiques, vintage clothing, and food vendors offering tasty delights.

The 59th Stockade Walkabout and StreetFest is Saturday September 28, 2024, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Walkabout will also feature music and people of Olde Schenectady, exhibits at the Schenectady County Historical Society, an archaeology dig, and exhibits of artifacts left behind by early residents.

Enjoy a fall stroll through Schenectady’s original settlement nestled along the Mohawk River.

WHEN and WHERE TO PURCHASE TICKETS
Tickets will go on sale starting July 23 through Friday, Sept. 22 at these outlets :

Eight neighbors have graciously agreed to open the interior of their homes to visitors and tell secrets of the architecture and stories of the families that lived in them. Participating houses include: 22 Front Street, 29 Front Street, 29 1/2 Front Street, 47 Front Street, 205 Union Street, 234 Union Street, 123 N Ferry Street, and 12 1/2 N. Ferry Street plus the Schenectady County Historical Society, the Stockade Inn, neighborhood churches, and more!

IMPORTANT WALKABOUT TICKET INFORMATION
On the day of the Walkabout, bring your ticket voucher (purchase confirmation or confirmation email) to the Schenectady County Historical Society, 32 Washington Ave. in the Stockade Historic District. There, you will pick up your wristband and tour map, which gives you entry to all participating houses and venues.

There will be no refunds. The Walkabout will be held rain or shine.
