Stockade Walkabout
The 60th Stockade Walkabout is Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This fall open house tour in Schenectady’s Historic Stockade neighborhood provides a rare chance to step inside some of the unique homes in New York State’s first historic district. The Walkabout also features music, characters, exhibits at the Schenectady County Historical Society, an archaeology dig, and exhibits of artifacts left behind by early residents. It’s held in partnership with the Stockade StreetFest.
Several neighbors have graciously agreed to open the interior of their homes to visitors and tell secrets of the architecture and stories of the families that lived in them. Locations also include the Schenectady County Historical Society, the Stockade Inn, neighborhood churches, and more!
Tickets
Tickets will be on sale early this summer, both online here and at select retail locations.
